CBC - Music City Soundtrack
Commissioned by CBC Canada, I created the lead illustration and visual assets for Music City Soundtrack, a digital series launched to celebrate Toronto’s vibrant music scene during the time of a major Canadian music award show.
Working under CBC’s creative team, I was commissioned to create a custom illustration showcasing diverse musicians in bold, expressive poses, each captured mid-performance to convey energy, sound, and individuality. The goal was to represent the richness and diversity of Toronto’s musical talent through a glamorous, inclusive, and artistic lens. The section was divided between “Hometown Stars,” focusing on more established household names and “Ones to Watch” for rising stars from the Canadian music industry.
The final artwork was published across CBC’s official website, used in social media banners, and integrated into campaign materials during the two-week series. The colour palette and composition were inspired by stage lighting, sound waves, and golden hour tones, reinforcing a sense of celebration and spotlight.
This piece reflects both my illustrative style and my ability to visually support a national cultural moment through thoughtful composition and storytelling.
